Abigail is a name of Hebrew origin, which means "gives joy; my father rejoices". That fits pretty well, don't you think?? Everyone is joyful that you are here, especially Daddy! In the Bible, Abigail was the third wife of King David. (They were allowed to have more than one back then!) She was described as being good in discretion and beautiful in form. You sure are beautiful in form .... guess we will wait and see about the discretion part ... Discretion is the quality of behaving or speaking in such a way as to avoid causing offense or revealing private information.

Elizabeth is a name of English and Hebrew origins, which means "My God is bountiful:God of plenty". How lovely is that?? Always remember that God is bountiful. In the Bible, Elizabeth was the mother of John the Baptist, who was the cousin of Jesus. And in England, there have been two Queen Elizabeth's - that's why Elizabeth is one of the most popular baby girl names in England.
